With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene A. Mielke (Elkton, South Dakota), who passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Mielke and Kathryn Mielke of Elkton, SD.; and his siblings, Edwin, William, Allen, Charles, Gatian, Kathleen and Virginia.
He is survived by: his brother Daniel Mielke (Marlys) of Brookings, SD; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Mielke of Mankato, MN, Barbara Mielke of Brookings, SD and Patsy Mielke of Hopedale, Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Eidsness Funeral and Cremation Services (1617 Orchard Dr, Brookings, SD 57006). A burial will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elkton City Cemetery (21849 486th Ave, Elkton, SD 57026).
