He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Harkness and Helen Harkness; his brother Michael; his son John Harkness; and also, Joe Fierro and Olivia Fierro.
He is survived by: his grandfather Terry; his grandchildren, Raymond Frye (Jayme), Dan Salazar (Kayla), Shelby Kiers (Cody), Amber Harkness, Brody Frye, Heidi Harkness, Jayce Harkness, Joshua Frye (Sadie Winkler) and Chris Salazar; his great grandchildren, Audrey Schuller, Jacob Schuller, Isabelle Kiers and Rebekah Frye; his children, Paul Harkness of Vermillion, SD, Theresa Salazar (Roger) of Medford, NJ and James Harkness (Wendy) of Vermillion, SD; his daughter-in-law Paula Harkness of Hawarden, IA; and his siblings, Ronald Harkness of Alcester, SD, Rodney Harkness (Emma) of Clint, Linda Ferdig (Martin) of Queen City, MO and Nancy Hooker. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Terry Harkness, 71, of Elk Point, SD, passed away May 17, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
