He was predeceased by: his parents, Luie McMahan and Stella McMahan (Bridges); his father-in-law Dad; his sister Joyce; his brother-in-law Benny Barnes; and his brothers, Rick Swain, Jimmy Brindle, Michael Gene McMahan, Luie K. McMahan and Patrick McMahan.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra McMahan of Elk Point; his children, Heather Barber (Dave) of Westfield, IA and Shane McMahan (Paula) of Elk Point; his grandchildren, Tessa, Kristen, Trevor and Lucas; his mother-in-law Lucymae Clausen of Elk Point; his siblings, Edward McMahan (Linda) of Nebraska, Shirley Avison and Lillian Schuttpelz; and his sister-in-law Jan Swain. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
