She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Knittel and Anna Knittel (Voos); her husband Kenneth Wurtz of Tyndall, SD.; and her brothers, Donald and Marvin Knittel.
She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Wurtz (Barb) of Elk Point, SD. and Keith Wurtz (Nancy) of Milford, IA; her grandchildren, Allison Akin (Sterne) of Elk Point, SD, Christopher Wurtz (Jen) of Rochester, MN, Kimberly Sundling (Michael) of Rochester, MN, Michael Wurtz of Elk Point, SD, Erica Hjelm (Jens) of Mildford, IA and Ryan Wurtz of Lino Lakes, MN; her sister Judith Meierhenry of Sioux Falls, SD.; and her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Annist, Samuel Akin, Aerie, Edison Wurtz, Leighton and Rhett Hjelm.
