He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Zimiga and Grace Zimiga (Hawkins); his son James Arnold Zimiga; and his siblings, David Zimiga (Butch), Ben Zimiga (Happy), Laverne, Lula Monroe and Zabie Pudwill.
He is survived by: his brother Carl Zimiga of Edgemont; the mother of his children Loretta Zimiga (Stands) of Rapid City; his son Greg Murphy (Teresa) of Silverton; and also, Debra McCleery (Michael) of Riverdale, Rose Lyons of Lakewood, Zabie Zimiga of Rapid City, Glinda Zimiga of Hot Springs, Marlisa Zimiga of Wilburton, Marla Zimiga of Hot Springs, Marclef Zimiga, Jr. (Michelle) of Yankton, James Zimiga (Missy) of Rapid City and Michele Haacke of Vermillion, Hunka. He is also survived by thirty-six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
