With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leroy Laplante Sr. of Eagle Butte, South Dakota, born in Whitehorse, South Dakota, who passed away on November 28, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Douglas and Mamie LaPlante (Jewett); his wife Delores "Toni" Meeter; his brothers, Richard, Loren, Ellsworth, Rupert, Bernard and Jack; his son Bernie; his grandchildren, Danny and Kristi; and his great grandchildren, Cooper and Casimere.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diana, Gloria and Patsy; his grandchildren, Bernie, Cedar, Richard and Leroy; his siblings, Allen LaPlante, Edie Knight, Luverne Cummings and Rita Birkeland; and his children, Cedar, Richard and Leroy. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, all public gatherings and services will follow the CDC COVID-19 guidelines, requiring masks and social distancing.
