He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney Kennedy and Francine Kennedy (Miner); and his brother David Kennedy. He is survived by: his siblings, Anthony Kennedy (Carrie) of Aberdeen, Mike Kennedy (Kristy High Elk) of Eagle Butte and Jacqueline DeCory (Shawn) of Eagle Butte; and his adoptive daughter Shanna Smith. He is also survived by three nephews and four nieces.
