It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacquelyn Arlene Joens of Dupree, South Dakota, who passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chuck Bennett and Shorty Bennett; her siblings, Mac, Don Bennett, Connie Sever and Beatrice Kay Bennett (B. K.); her siblings-in-law, Kathy Bennett, Dallas Sever and Rex Heidlebaugh; and her stepson Alan Maier.
She is survived by: her husband Fred Joens; her children, Brad of Texas, Milt, Kelly of Dupree, Beth Ann Grueb (Larry) of Faith, Tracy (Glenda) of Nevada and Claudine Afdahl (Joel) of Faith; her sister Doris Hescock of Troy, MT; her sister-in-law Joanie Bennett of Kalispell, MT; her stepchildren, Lila Briggs (Cody), Earl Maier (Alice), Dale Maier (Dency), Eva Hepper (Jeff), Adam Joens and Casey Joens; her grandchildren, Travis Grueb (Ali), Trevor Grueb (Kaylee), Mona Long, Bradly Speker (Alyssa), Luke Speker, Christopher Speker (Sonja), Tyler Bryant (Molly), Lesley Speker, Tori Reeves (Cal) and Josh Afdahl; her close friend Mary Lu Griffith; her nieces, Mileen Stephens and Melody Bennett; and her stepgrandson Coy Hepper. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
