She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert Haiar and Anne Haiar (Krier); her husband Melvin; and her siblings, Wilbur Haiar, Marlene Wethor, Jeanette Wethor and Germaine Endres.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Hepper (Greg) of Huron, SD, Ken Schlimgen (JoAnn) of Mitchell, SD, Doug Schlimgen (Betty) of Dimock, SD, Paul Schlimgen (Andrea) of Arvada, CO, Darla Tassler (Doug) of Vermillion, SD, Dale Schlimgen of Sioux Falls, SD and Ron Schlimgen (Cindy) of Shell Rock, IA; and her sister Marjorie Reisch. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Avera Hospice Foundation in Mitchell, SD in recognition of the amazing care given to both Melvin and Doris.
