He was predeceased by: his parents, Gust Adolph and Martha Louise Wilhelmina Remme (Bendt); his siblings, Marlene Schwartz (John), Donald (LaVonne), Gale (Nell) and Leon; and his granddaughter Amanda.
He is survived by: his wife Verna Remme; his children, Debra Weirenga (Edward) of Dorr, MI, Mark (Christi) of Iowa City, IA, Luann Bohnet (David) of Jefferson, IA and Susan Hoeffner (Daniel) of Piedmont, SD; his grandchildren, Pam Hoogwerf (Mark), Dianne Wilhelm (John), Melissa Prince (Howie), Avalyn Remme, Peter Remme, Neal Bohnet (Jill), Jacob Bohnet (Kimberly), Bethann Christensen (Caleb), Zachary Hoeffner and Melea Hoeffner; and his great grandchildren, Robert, Valerie, Eric, Brian Leo, Joseph, Heather, Sophie, Brody, Cole and Christensen. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
