It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Penning of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, who passed away on December 3, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Penning and Elizabeth Penning; his wife Jeanette; his daughter-in-law Joan Penning; and his grandson-in-law Garrett Polley.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Langner (Micheal), Steven Penning and Suzanne Yeigh (Dave); his grandchildren, Michelle Langner Richmond (Tracy), Aaron Langner, Adam Langner (Sarah), Tennille Knoop (Tim), Bethanie Langner, Kris Langner (Elliot Hail-Langner), Jeff Penning (Charity), Brian Penning (Jenn Young), Amanda Penning (Chris Woody), Barbara Penning (Charlie Hynick), Kelly Reed (Aspen), Cory Yeigh (Ali) and Brandi Monson (Ryan); and his siblings, Terry Penning, Vera Burggraff and Karon Penning. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
