She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Schreier and Mary Schreier (Phelps); her husband Stanley J Nelson; her siblings, Margretta, Michael and Gene; her siblings-in-law, Elaine Schreier, Irvin Nelson and Edna Nelson; and her nephew Glen Nelson.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Sovell (Dale); her grandchildren, Ashley and Dereck Sovell of Ivanhoe Minnesota; and her nieces and nephews, Michael Schreier (Vicky) of Lexington, Lance Schreier of Charles City, Tim Schreier of Hoboken, Teresa Bennett (David) of Cedar Rapids and Janet May (Jim) of Maple Grove, Minnesota. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
Marietta's Catholic faith was the foundation in her life, which carried on to her family.
