She was predeceased by: her parents, James Novak and Marie Novak (Kunst); her husband James DeToy of Jasper, MN; her son Anthony; and her siblings, Milton Novak, Mary Headrick and Agnes Oye.
She is survived by: her son James (Sarah) of Rapid City, SD; her grandchildren, Richard DeToy (Angela) of Onondaga, MI, Shelly Geraets (Chris) of Dell Rapids, SD, Mike DeToy (Lisa) of Edgewood, IL and Jenny Mueller (Grant Schobert) of High Point, NC; and her siblings-in-law, Marie Martinson of Dell Rapids, SD, Roger Elverson of Sioux Falls, SD and Joe Zimprich of Sioux Falls, SD. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home - Brandon Valley Chapel (2500 E Aspen Blvd, Brandon, SD 57005). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Risen Savior Catholic Church (301 N Splitrock Blvd, Brandon, SD 57005).
