He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Triebwasser and Lydia Triebwasser (Koth); his siblings, Leona Frey, Bernitha Triebwasser, Lucille Klock, Irene Triebwasser, Kenneth Triebwasser and Eldon; and his siblings-in-law, Harm Frey, Fred Klock, Earl Rickmeyer, Alfred Hohn, Norman Beiswanger, Kathy Triebwasser, Esther Hohn and Anita Beiswanger.

He is survived by: his wife Wilma Gerlach of Dell Rapids; his children, Twila Kruger (Bruce) of Sioux Falls, Tamara Birmingham (George) of Sioux Falls, Terry Triebwasser of Dell Rapids, Teresa Ernesti (Daniel) of Dell Rapids, Trudy Alberts (Kevin) of Dell Rapids and Thelma Haak (Gary) of Dell Rapids; his sisters, Lovella Schrader (Milton), Mabel Triebwasser and Geraldine Rickmeyer; and his siblings-in-law, Irene Gerlach and Vernon Gerlach (Charlene). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
