He was predeceased by: his father Jerome Kerns of Dell Rapids, SD; his parents-in-law, Marvin and Helen Mueller (Nolz) of Tripp, SD; and his half-sister Sharon Koopman (Kerns) of Baltic, SD. He is survived by: his mother Carrie Hanneman (Reurink) of Dell Rapids, SD.; his wife Lynn Kerns (Mueller) of Dell Rapids, SD; his children, Elizabeth Jones (Alex) of Harrisburg, SD, Emily Ahrendt (Andrew) of Dell Rapids, SD and Jordan Kerns of Dell Rapids, SD; and his grandson Connor Jones.
