It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene C. Nelson of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, who passed away on December 25, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Hansen and Ida Hansen (Bricher); her husband Roger Nelson; her grandson Will Nelson; and her siblings, Erm Berg, Tom, Terry, David Hansen and Karli Boelter.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff of Crawfordsville, IN, Dean (Mary) of Apple Valley, MN, Scott (Wendy) of Dell Rapids, SD, Brad (Jonie) of Omaha, NE, Bette (Marc Paulsen) of Georgetown, TX, John (Annette) of Littleton, CO, Phyllis (Carl Jackson) of Valparaiso, IN and Matt (Kim Johnson) of Crooks, SD; her grandchildren, David Nelson (Kayla), Danny Gustafson SJ, Chris Nelson, Colin Nelson, Ashleigh Nelson, Chelsea Sorensen (Matt), Christian Nelson (Kaylene), Zach Nelson, Mikayla Wolles (Joe), Katelyn Nelson, Meghan Nelson, Emma Nelson, Dylan Nelson and Gabe Nelson; and her great grandchildren, Melanie, Hayden Shellum and Evelyn Wolles.
