With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Joseph Bachmeier (Deadwood, South Dakota), born in Vale, South Dakota, who passed away on September 7, 2018 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Luke Bachmeier (Joan) of Sturgis; his wife Chiyoko; and also Wade Howard. He is survived by: his daughters, Deb Rawlins (Ray Osloond), Sandy Geffre (Jerry Prestjohn), Piedmont Washechek and Jean Washechek (Cory); his significant other Shirley Marsolek; his sons, Scott Howard of St. Paul, MN and Patrick Marsolek (Amber); his grandchildren, Jillian McLaughlin of Albin, WY, Michaela Freeman (Charlie), Piedmont, Dannica, Cody Percevich, Belle Fourche, Brock Geffre (Tylissa) and Lead; his great grandchildren, Riley McLaughlin, Teegan McLaughlin, Myles Freeman, Brekyn, Berkley, Briggs Geffre and Sawyer Percevich; and also, Chris Howard, Aubrey, Lila and Ellery Marsolek. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Raymond Bachmeier requests memorials be directed to the David Fischer Family Memorial at Black Hills Federal Credit Union to assist the family of fallen firefighter David Fischer of the Sturgis Fire Department and Sturgis Ambulance Service, who lost his life fighting the fire.
