It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Duchene Akrop of Deadwood, South Dakota, who passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Genevieve Akrop (Duchene) and Paul Akrop; and his brother Greg. He is survived by: his sister Mary Ann Oberlander (Bruce); his nephew Michael Oberlander (Angela); his great-nephew Matthew; his great-niece Sarah; his niece Lisa Jorgenson (Jason); his great-niece Genevieve; his great-nephews, Andrew and Benjamin; his niece Julie Gibbons (Jeremy); and his great-nephews, Luke and Jonathon. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew and great-nieces and great-nephews as if they were his own kids and grandkids.

A memorial has been established at Deadwood History, Inc. – Adams House and Museum.
