Velma Leichtenberg Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, W. G. Doland (Bill) and Helena Doland (Petersen); her husband Robert E. Leichtenberg (Bob) of Iroquois; and her son Randall Scott. She is survived by: her former husband Perry Dean Snyder of Iroquois; her children, Steven P. (Sonny), Kathy Nelson (Kathy) of Timber Lake, Sonny (Donna) of Iroquois and Bob (Diana) of De Smet; her grandsons, Brandon Leichtenberg of Watertown and Jay Leichtenberg (Misty); her great grandchildren, Miles and Ivy of Castlewood; her grandchildren, Kendall Leichtenberg (Shayla) of Vermillion and April Leichtenberg of Yankton; and her siblings, Nancy Fenicle (Eldon) of Sioux Falls, Pearl Jepsen of California and Bill Doland (Margaret) of Lehigh Acres, FL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In 2019, after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, she became a resident of the GSS nursing home at De Smet, where she enjoyed activities, especially painting, which was a special talent, until her health declined.
