He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Zell and Emma Zell (Claassen); his brother Keith; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Booth and Donna Zell.
He is survived by: his sons, Brent W. Zell (Rebecca) of Rapid City, SD and Darin R. Zell (Amy) of De Smet, SD; his close friend Linda L. Geyer; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Dylan, Cody and Emmet Zell of De Smet, SD; his sister Marilynn Booth of Spickard, MO; his sister-in-law Barb Zell of Shakopee, MN; and his uncles, Harlan Zell (Mary) of Hazelwood, MO and Verald Zell (Phyllis) of Pollock, LA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
