With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Franzen (De Smet, South Dakota), born in West Union, Iowa, who passed away on March 24, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugo and Irene; his brothers, Gerald and Robert; and his great grandchild Grayson Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Hundt; his children, Brenda Dyche (Adam) of Elizabeth, CO and Richard Franzen (Sherrie) of Cochrane, WI; his grandchildren, Deidre, Adam Jr. Dyche, MacKenzie and Madison Franzen; and his great grandchild Zoey.
