He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Louis; his brother David; and his grandparents, Clarence, Edna Stock, Louis and Margaret Karlen.
He is survived by: his mother Betty Karlen (Stock); his wife Pam (Jacob); his children, Angela Karlen (Wyatt), Becky Schaffer (Jeremy) and Billy Karlen; his grandchildren, Ty, Mya, Brady and Charleigh; and his siblings, Debbie Beck (Laird) and Trey Karlen (Jenni). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
