He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Westphal and Elsie Westphal (Kennedy); and his brother Greg. He is survived by: his stepfather-in-law Alva; his father-in-law Dick Thompson; his brothers-in-law, Billy, Jeff and Jesse Thompson; his wife Sheila Westphal; his son Richard Westphal (Christi); his grandchildren, Mikaela Opgenorth (Andrew), Nikolaus Frank, Katelynn and Lacey Westphal; his daughter Timberly Keller (Darrin); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Randall, Kennedi, Lincoln, Griffin and Cruz Keller; his siblings, Tom (Liz), Sam, Gary Westphal and Sally Westphal; and his stepmother-in-law Esther Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
