He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Wally" Michael and Sophia Gertrude Schreiber; his stepdaughter Tracy Lynne; his former wife Judy; his sisters, Jolene Happe and Blanche Goergen; and his brother-in-law Jim Goergen.
He is survived by: his wife Nyla; his son Wally of Lake Worth, FL; his sisters, Sharon Godfrey (Max) of Sioux City and Connie Chapman (Larry) of Okoboji, IA; his brother-in-law Rob Happe (Jane) of Carrollton, TX; and his nieces and nephews, Chris Hamm (Jennifer), Rod Hamm (Cathy) and Kirk Hamm (Lisa).
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bishop Heelan Catholic High School or the Diocese of Sioux City Priests Retirement Fund.
