He was predeceased by: his parents, William Long (Bill) and Gloria Long (Truman). He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his sons, Trevor, Trent Long (Corinna) of Creswell, OR and Tyg Long (Brooke) of Rapid City, SD; and his siblings, Thomas Long of Brookings, OR, Todd Long of Locust Grove, VA and Ann Long (Sally Twentey) of Locust Grove, VA.
