With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sue Brown (Custer, South Dakota), born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, who passed away on May 10, 2020 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sue Brown to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Gifford and Carol Mathwig Zimmerman. She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer; her husband Richard Ellsworth "Dick" Brown; her son Matthew McCafferty Brown (Joy Falkenburg) of Custer; her grandchildren, Nancy Briley, Ryken and Lincoln Ellsworth; her child Terra Leigh (David Reynolds II) of Valparaiso; her grandson David III; her great grandchild Catherine Briley; her granddaughter Jennifer Briley (Mark Holloway) of Minneapolis; her great grandchild Ryan Richard; her siblings, Terry Wyffels (Patrick) of East Peoria and Gifford R. Zimmerman of Evanston; and also Madeline.
In lieu of flowers, Sue asked that memorial gifts be made to the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, the Custer Community Foundation, the Black Hills Area Community Foundation, the SD Parks and Wildlife Foundation, or the Healing Garden at Monument Health Custer in care of Dr. Joy Falkenburg.
