It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philip Norman Geenen of Custer, South Dakota, who passed away on March 21, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Philip Norman Geenen to show support.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Geenen and Frances Geenen (Wnukowski); his spouse Root Beer; his daughters, Ellie McGraw (Jeff) of Custer and Carrie Wood (Wes) of Belle Fourche; his grandchildren, Corbin Bowker of Rapid City, SD, Zach Douglas of Brookings, SD, Quintin Gilg of Chadron, NE and Elise Wood of Belle Fourche, SD; his brother Jerry Geenen (Sharon); his siblings-in-law, Roger Weber of Custer, Joellen Toth and Mindy Weber of Custer; and his pet Mork.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Custer Beacon (351 Washington St, Custer, SD 57730).

Family requests that donations be made in Phil's memory to Operation Black Hills Cabins at operationblackhillscabin.org or Midwest Honor Flight at midwesthonorflight.org.
