He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ted Woodford and Bonnie Woodford (Ayers); his wife Sue (Scott); his children, Kim Miles (Mike), Mike Woodford (Heidi), Tanner Woodford (Jill), Vicki Gray (Brad), Betsy Shearer (Trent) and Cassie Plooster; his grandchildren, Kennedee, Kody, Rachelle, Zoey, Lane, Ava, Hayze, Dani, Aly and Nate; and his great grandchildren, Autumn and Elliott.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made in his name to the Custer Volunteer Fire Department or Custer County Search and Rescue.
