He was predeceased by: his wife Lyla Kelley; his son David Mello; and his siblings, Harold Johnson, Velma Nolan and Helen Eberle.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melody Hoffman, Connie Caporin (Mark) and Teresa Schoeneman (Keith); and his grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Lauren, Amanda, Lindsey, Rachel, Anna, Nick and Hope.
