She was predeceased by: her parents, Johannes Orstad and Clara Orstad (Schjodt); her husband Melvin; her brothers, Orville Orstad and Maurice Myrmoe; and her grandson-in-law Shawn Schwaller.
She is survived by: her children, Rosemary Mohrhauser (Gilbert) of Hartford, Jerald Byg (Alta) of Ames, Iowa, Elizabeth Van Liere (Alan) of Litchfield, Minnesota and Evelyn Holdaway (John) of Rapid City. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
