He was predeceased by: his parents, John Otten and Rhoda Otten (Anderson); his niece Jenna Hanneman; and his father-in-law Robert Hennings. He is survived by: his wife Suwa Otten of Garretson; his children, Tyler Otten of Sioux Falls and Kaylee Amundson (Dennis) of Colton; his grandchildren, Blaine, Miles and Roen Amundson; his siblings, Duane Otten of Los Angeles, CA and Pamela Hanneman of Sioux Falls; his mother-in-law Emiko Hennings of Sioux Falls; his siblings-in-law, Sandra Kinder (Tracy) of Sioux Falls and John Hennings of Sioux Falls; and his close friends, Dozer and Rudy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Avera at Home Hospice or the Avera Dougherty Hospice House.
