He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Roekel and Anna Van Roekel (Ernissee); and his siblings, Joe Van Roekel (Judy), Garion Van Roekel, John Van Roekel (Leona), Jeanette, Ligtenberg, Arlene (Mel Hamburg) and Maryann Van Zee (Eugene).
He is survived by: his wife Goldie Bakker of Corsica, SD; his daughter Holly Burns (Jerry); his grandson Michael (Katie); his great grandchild Emmett; his grandsons, Justin and David Van Roekel (Char); his great grandchildren, Liam, Josiah and Isaac; his granddaughter Karen Van Holland (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Brady, Faith and Will; his sister-in-law Marge Van Roekel; and his brother Harold Van Roekel (Marion). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
