He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrit "Pat" and Ila Brink (Gundlach); his son Kevin Richard; his brother George; and his brother-in-law Eldon Schulz.
He is survived by: his former spouse De Ann Engel; his wife Judy Gruenewald (Ketel) of Corsica; his children, Kristine Stoltz (Andy) and August of Holmen, WI; his stepchildren, Rhonda Culver of Yankton, Doug Gruenewald (Angie) of Lovington, NM, Deann Bultje of Vermillion, Jodi Blom (Leroy) of Corsica and Chad Gruenewald (Kristi) of Blackhawk; and his sister Kae Berry of Corpus. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid concerns, there will be a private graveside service held in Milltown City Cemetery.
