We are sad to announce that on December 13, 2021, at the age of 69, Richard Van Heerde of Colton, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Gerrett "George" Van Heerde; and his nephew Matthew Reurink. He is survived by: his mother Johanna Van Heerde (Gelderman); his former wife Pamela Halma; his wife Pam; his daughters, Robin Jacobs (Tom), Jill Devitt (Tim), Kristi Anderson (Matt) and Heidi Van Heerde of Bemidji, MN; his grandchildren, Kennedy Treichler (Calvin), Maxwell Jacobs, Gerrett Devitt, Kate Devitt, Kendall Anderson, Lucy Anderson and Lawrenzo Sailor; and his siblings, Janice Reurink (Don), Dale Van Heerde (Tina), Dean Van Heerde (Carolyn) and Chester. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
