She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Meyerink and Grace Meyerink (Gelderman); her husband John Swier August; her grandsons, Michael Franken and Jimmy Stensgaard; her son-in-law Wayne Franken; and her siblings, Marie Hoek, John Meyerink, Alida Swier and Ann Vander Plaats.
She is survived by: her children, Don Swier (Glenna), Crooks, Mary Ann Franken (Mark Entenman), Sioux Falls, Darla Stensgaard (Arden) and Volga; and her stepchildren, Katherine Immeker, Brandon and Roy Swier (Sandy). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
