It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Effling of Clear Lake, South Dakota, born in Woonsocket, South Dakota, who passed away on June 12, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Grunewaldt and Retha Grunewaldt (Schabot); her granddaughter Chelsea Weber; and her great grandchild Rae Ann Davis. She is survived by: her husband John Raymond Effling of Clear Lake, SD; her children, Jim Effling (Nancy) of Clear Lake, SD, LuAnn Weber (JT) of Lake Benton, MN, Helen Geppert (Kevin) of Mitchell, SD, Joe Effling of Saco, MT and Chris Effling (Kristi) of Highmore, SD; her grandchildren, Jenna Braun (Mark), Ross Effling, Ryan Effling (Fiancee' Sophia), Jake Weber (Amanda), Elizabeth Fiedler (Josh), Garret Weber (Kailey), Maria Ophiem (Cade), Sara, Matthew Weber, Sydney Davis (Garrett), Weston Geppert (Britney), Kylee Geppert (Fiance' Tyler), Dylan Effling, Austin, Lyndsey, Carter, Emily, Olivia Effling, Cagney, Chesney and Kenidey Effling; her great grandchildren, Ellie, Kollyns, Landon Braun, Abilene, Chisum Weber, Vidalia Fiedler, Adam Weber, Lawton and Conley Geppert; and her siblings, Sharon Richie (Warren), John Grunewaldt (Janet) and Dale Grunewaldt (Marlene). She is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
