He is survived by: his wife Shirley Schafer of Altamont, SD; his children, Scott Schafer of Jasper, MN, Edward Schafer (Schelice), Angela Rennich (Brian), Kenneth Jr, Tammie Bublitz (Dave), Ben Schafer (Rebecca) and Wanda VanWormer (Joe); his mother Lois Schafer of Clear Lake, SD; his siblings, Duane Schafer of Strandburg, SD, Norman Schafer, Neil Schafer, Vernon Schafer, Gail Cizadlo (Richard) of Sun City, AR and Linda Lundquist (Bill); his father Luvern Schafer; and his sister Lila Schafer. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great- grandchildren; nieces, nephews.
