He was predeceased by: his parents, John Niemann and Alice Niemann (Goens); his siblings, Doris Schiefelbein, Merle Niemann (Deanne) and Kennth (Jackie); his son Doug; his parents-in-law, Albert and Lois Stee; and his in-laws, Bernard Niemann (Ardith), Lavonna Krause (Orville), Lester Niemann (Carol), JoAnn Niemann, Harold "Bud" Schiefelbein and Larry Krause.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Stee; his children, Hank, Phyl, Ronda Boughton, Michael Niemann (Sandra), Krista Thompson (Sheldon) and Sharla Haugen (Richard); and also Ranee Niemann.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Clear Lake Methodist Church (407 5th Ave S, Clear Lake, SD 57226). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
