He is survived by: his wife Opal Benson of Clear Lake, SD; his children, Cheryl Squires (Ron) of Estelline, SD, Darla Barkve (Lyndon), Deb Engelbrecht (Eric), Margo Sample (Scott), Brenda Yost (John) and Brian Benson (Pat); his sister Esther Stratton; and his siblings-in-law, Marcy Sommervold of Hendricks, MN, Helen Moffatt, Hawardan, Irene Engesmoe and Joe Engesmoe of Hendricks, MN. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
