He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Rieke and Elva Rieke (Kruthoff); his wife Rose Kohl; and his sisters, Guida Leiviska and Agnes Lamp.

He is survived by: his children, Bobbie Palmer (Dean) of Clark, Eddy Rieke of Vienna and Brenda Beynon (Rocky) of Clark; and his sisters, Mary Jane Snavely and Carole Roussel. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
