He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Bymers (Schulz) and Pete Bymers; his siblings, Valois Danekas (Bymers), Ramona Kirkeby (Bymers) and Dean Bymers; and his stepson Richard Thorne.
He is survived by: his former wife Mavis Hilsabeck; his children, Lon, Jody and Joel; his spouse Billie Thorne; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jared and Vondi; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Isabelle, Lucas, Nathan, Oliver and Henry; his siblings, Iris Rasmussen, Pat Fey, Duane Bymers (Avie) and Karen McCoy (Forest); his stepchildren, David Thorne (Brenda), Linda Baumstark (Jerard) and Tom Thorne (Kris); and his stepgranddaughters, Cindy Baumstark, Katie and Tiffany.
