He was predeceased by: his parents, Severt Nordhus and Esther Nordhus (Cradit); his daughter Cheryl Roop; his granddaughter Stephanie; his siblings, Robert Nordhus (Lois) and Joyce (Lester "Bud" Larson); and his stepdaughter Marcella.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet Nordhus of Clark; his children, Stephen Nordhus (Marcella), Lana Bowen (Dallas) of Rapid City, Chris Nordhus (Deborah) and Volker Lohmann; and his stepchildren, Bruce Ness of Madison, Marlin Ness (Susan) of Clark and Marvene Reinbold (Craig) of Aberdeen. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Furness Funeral Home (402 N Commercial St, Clark, SD 57225-1243). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
