Dennis Allen Flatten Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Allen Flatten in Clark, South Dakota, who passed away on July 2, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd O. Flatten and Vanetta C. Flatten (DesLauriers); his brother David; his stepmother Martha; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Pearl Stern; his brother-in-law Jim Bjerke; his brother Gordon; his sister-in-law Marcella Gross; and his nephews, Jim Stern and Michael Manson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Stern of Clark; his close friend Remy; his children, Michelle Flatten-Kabwe of Clark, Les Flatten of Clark, Dixie Smith (Jacob) of Hazel and Dustin Flatten (Jenny) of Watertown; his grandchildren, Kayla, Skyler, Charity, Jediah, Noah, Musonda, Max, Ella and Wilkes; his siblings, Sharon Bjerke of Clark, Lanny Flatten (Donna) of Crocker and Rick Flatten (Patsy) of Wallace; his stepfather John Solheim of Redfield; and his parents-in-law, Ordean Stern (Sue), Bud Stern (Marilyn) and Gloria (Allen). He is also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and being that the funeral is outside, in lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
