It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cynthia Evenson of Claire City, South Dakota, born in Sisseton, South Dakota, who passed away on May 20, 2022, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Bennel Loberg; her grandparents, Nels, Sadie Loberg, Harry and Hazel Wegener; her father-in-law Wally Evenson; her brother Nick Loberg; and her cousins, Michael Schlener, Dean Hostbjor and JoMarie Sprague.
She is survived by: her mother Ardamae Loberg (Wegener) of Sisseton; her husband Ron; her children, Matthew (Jennifer), Lily, Sadie of Arthur, ND and Jessica (Scott Althaus); her grandchildren, Jack and Elizabeth of Fargo; her son Benjamin (Jessica); her grandchildren, James and Madelynn of Okinawa, Japan; her mother-in-law Opal Evenson of Browns Valley, MN; her sister Belinda Engelhart (Paul) of Watertown, SD; her siblings-in-law, Linda Loberg (Irv Slaamot) of New Effington, Jan Kapitan (Jim) of Fargo, Larry Evenson (Marlene) of Minneapolis, MN and Julie Koeppe (Leon) of Clear Lake, SD; and her cousins, Marcia Beezley (Dick), Sara May (Tom), Mary Drake, Dara Wegener-Volker and Lee Wegener. She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
Ever the educator, Cynthia donated her body to the University of South Dakota Medical School.
