He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hohwieler and Leona Hohwieler (Onken); and his grandson Aaron. He is survived by: his wife Karen Lessman; his children, Chad (Suzette) of Sioux Falls and Tonya Tomasek (Tim) of Marshall, MN; his grandchildren, Jesse Lonneman (Aaron) of Luverne, MN, Bailey Long (Derek) of Marshall, MN and Logan Tomasek of Maple Grove, MN; and his great grandchildren, Rowan and Sutton Lonneman.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Ellsworth Funeral Home (321 Egan Ave N, Madison, SD 57042). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (1010 Washington Ave S, Madison, SD 57042). A burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:30 PM at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (46376 241st St, Chester, SD 57016).
