It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Pickart (Chancellor, South Dakota), born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on August 10, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Pickart and Rose Pickart; and his siblings, Roderick Pickert (Linnie Mae), Lynus Pickart, Ronald Pickart and Adeline Olson (Bob).

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Pond (Shreve); his children, Michael Pickart of Minneapolis, MN, Kris Malloy (Bob), Mark Pickart (Susan), Robin Hohn (Scott), Colleen Anderson (Joe) and Jill Pickart; his stepsons, Chad Pond (Cathi), Tim Pond (Julie) and Scot Pond; his grandchildren, Matt, Maggie, Marie Malloy, Will Pickart, Charlie Pickart, Izzy, Elly, Abby Hohn, Sam Anderson, Ben Anderson, Craig Pond (Amber), Corey Pond, Boyce Pond and Christopher Pond; his great grandchildren, Rory Pond, Kamari Malloy and Kollins Malloy; and his sister-in-law Gerry Pickart.
