With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Johnson of Chancellor, South Dakota, born in Vermillion, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 8, 2024 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Kayser; his parents, Kenneth (Hazel) and Raymond (Adella Kayser); his brothers, Duane and Richard; and his brothers-in-law, Glenn Harless and Scott Brugger.
He is survived by: his children, Scott, Todd (Terri) and Britt Williams (Shawn); his grandchildren, Tyler (Trista), Tanner, Trey, Tess (Josh), Tate Johnson, Chaz Williams (Brooklyn), Caelie Hagen (James), Casey, Caytee, Camryn, Cruz Williams, Aydan and Calyn Johnson; his great grandchildren, Aubree, McCoy Williams, Kai Dotson, Zero Goetze and Tayne Johnson; his sister Patty Harless (family: Margie Stoneback, Sharon Brugger, Lonna Carroll, Jan Benson, Connie Johnson, Arnie Johnson); and his sister-in-law Pam Hunsley (Larrie). He is also survived by family, Lonna Carroll and family, Jan (Jeff) Benson and family.
He passed on August 8, 2024 after a valiant thirteen-year fight against Alzheimer's.
