With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Kay Nies (Chamberlain, South Dakota), born in Presho, South Dakota, who passed away on February 6, 2019 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Bingen and Frances Bingen; her siblings, Karen Opbroek Meeker, Susan Vander Woude, Keith and Kenneth; and her brothers-in-law, Steven Opbroek, Richard Meeker and Paul Vander Woude.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Nies-Donahoe (Damian), Barbara Gakin of Kimball, Brian Nies of Sioux Falls and Debra Nies of Chamberlain; her siblings, Gary Bingen (Sharon) of Lower Brule, Roger Bingen (Judi) of Columbus, NE and Linda Bingen of Sioux Falls; and also, Ted and Esther Nies. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
