He was predeceased by: his parents, Knute Selland and Janice Selland (Faber); and his brothers-in-law, Pilo Rosales and Kenneth Osborne. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Osborne; his children, Michele and Daniel; his grandchildren, Jaxon, Shailey and Cole; and his siblings, Carol Rosales, Paula Bortz (August), Chuck Selland (Joyce) and Tom Selland (Cindy).

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (902 S Main St, Chamberlain, SD 57325). A prayer was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
