He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry DeVries and Grace DeVries (Gaughran); his wife Dorace DeVries; his daughters, Michelle DeVries and Melissa DeVries; his sons-in-law, Keith Vining and Robert Baatz; and his brothers-in-law, Ernie Marone, Ervin Krutzfeldt and Kenneth Eckmann.
He is survived by: his daughter Vicki Vining (Robert Peterson) of Fedora, SD; his grandchildren, Dustin Vining, Hillary Vining (Jeff Westendorf) of Mt. Vernon, SD and Hanna Peterson of Fedora; his daughter Nikki Baatz of Lester, IA; his grandchildren, Josh Waddell (Tammy) of Larchwood, IA and LaToya Ageson (Jared) of Alvord, IA; his son Jeff DeVries (Kimberly) of Cavour; his grandchildren, Ellie of Cavour, Elise of Huron, Ethan of Cavour, Emerson of Brookings, Elaina of Aberdeen, Elliott of Cavour and Erianna DeVries of Cavour; his daughters, Tanya DeVries (Jeneva Maneval) of Huron, Chase and Bo; his great grandchildren, Aspen, Slade Vining, Karter, Kobe Westendorf, Levi, Wyatt, Dakota Waddell, Brodix, Hadley Ageson and Ashlee DeVries; his siblings, Hubert DeVries (Eloise), Sharon Carter (Bill) and Janice Marone; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Krutzfeldt and Dorene Eckmann.
